Such an amazing day. It basically started with Daniel and I getting the chance to sleep in (though, I went to bed early so my "sleeping in" was 8) since neither of us had to work. We then called our friend Katie to see if she wanted to get together for the day. So we ended up going out to lunch with Scotty, Katie, and her cousin Monika. Always grateful for good company.
Daniel and I did a little shopping, then came home and I took a nap (it was glorious until he completely startled me awake in the most non-threatening way possible. It was ridiculous!)
We then headed off to Pokemon League (I still can't believe that. I still can't believe that I actually know some of the characters. It's definitely something I never saw coming...). While Daniel played I tried to get my new game to install only to be disappointed because I needed an internet connection, which I didn't have. However, then my "bestow" Kelly showed up and fun times were had as we were joined by Joanna. We pretty much infiltrated the League to not participate...sorry! Then we began our countdown until it ended so that we could play regular games.
Our game of choice for the night was "We Didn't Playtest This At All." It's an incredibly quick game where every loses. Everyone wins, or some combination of the two. And you dare not try to make sense out of it. The logic was left at the door when creating it. Oh, and if you have a banana, the zombies can't get you. So with this portion of the night, I can basically conclude that I'm grateful for friends that I can play nonsense games with that result in too many laughs.

However, the biggest thing I have to be grateful for is my sister. She celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday, and I wish I could have been home to celebrate with her. Growing up we were always either best friends or just going bizerk on each to her the way only siblings can. Honestly, I don't even know what to say about her. She is always there for me when I need her. And only she will ever know the trials and tribulations of the "wash basin noogie" of getting your hair washed by granda, or the "snots and snarrels" of getting your hair brushed (ripped out) by grandpa. (Oh wait, she won't-because she always got grandma to brush her hair.) Or getting slighted by having to clean an entire bedroom we shared because whenever it came time to clean I suddenly didn't feel good and had to lie down (I was horrible...probably why she stuck me with grandpa!).
She's the only one who I would ever allow to send me pictures of a random lazy eye brochure or picture of a creepy clown with a caption saying "Maaaaaandy" because she loves to tell people at haunted houses what my name is so that they follow me around calling to me...
I'm grateful for never having to know a day of my life without her. She is absolutely one of the best people I have in my life and I truly cannot imagine my life without her. I love you, Sammy!
